Welcome to the Raymore Art Department!
Welcome to the art room at Raymore Elementary. We follow the TAB method of art education.
TAB, or Teaching for Artistic Behavior is a philosophy based on allowing the students to explore interests, develop critical thinking skills, and be creative through self-directed studio work. Studios include drawing, painting, collages, sculpture, printmaking, and fiber. Each class offers short demonstrations, work time, and share time. Demonstrations will explain tools, centers, and highlight important art history. During work time, students will choose studios and materials that best fit their learning target of choice. Sharing allows students to collaborate with each other to share interests, discoveries, and problem solve. Checkout the How Can I Help? page to donate items to the art room. More information on learning targets are under each grade level page. There you can also find games and tutorials for each target. Happy creating! -Ms. Clark Want more information?
